Default Hello

My name is Carol (knee Dawson) and lived in Radcliffe till 1966. My Dad was Robert Dawson sinced passed away and Mam Jessie. We lived at number 3 Dandsfield Place next door to Lorna Scott and their two boys. My Dad was one of 13 children from Amble so know there must be several relatives around but I left when I was 12 years old and came to North Notts. I was born at High Hauxley at number on the HIll there. It is a beautiful cottage now or at least the last time I came up. Have an older brother called Barry and sister younger than I am called Wendy. Don't know if this will tie up with any of your searches but only just found this site last night when looking for pictures of "home". Please feel free to ask anything, I am online most days.

I remember your dad, Bob Dawson, working at Hauxley colliery and living at High Hauxley. There are still "squads" of Dawsons in Amble as can be expected from such a large family. Your grandparents lived in Panhaven Road and your grandad was either a verger or church warden at St Cuthberts.
