Casey was the resident instructor to the TA in Amble and his family were brought up here. I went to school with his grandson, also named Walter. So we can add that Casey was in command of the Amble detachment of the Home Guard? (Forget that , re-reading this thread Janwhin's newspaper quote confirms he was in command)

Do you know where their HQ/meeting place was Alan? Would it be the Scott St. Drill Hall? (I'm guessing)
