Default Broomhill Cyclist Club

This is from the Alnwick Gazette, September 1884. The Coquetdale Cyclist Club competition with the Bedlington club. The Broomhill Hotel providing the victuals

My grandfather was secretary of the Pegswood Cycling Club and then when he moved to Broomhill, became secretary there. Photograph of the Pegswood cyclists attached.

As a child my Dad always promised me his bikes, they were in a shed in the old Chevington Terraced area. We got the bikes eventually, (I would have been about 10 years old). I remember to the day, they were Raleigh "Lenton" Sports, had 3 gears and a bad saddle. As it happened they were both his and his dads bikes
