Default Amble to Canada

In 1913 a lecture was given in Amble on the virtues of life in Canada.

What a big step to take for local folk - for the young it would seem an attractive adventure -

Canada was crying out for people to emigrate.

Did anyone accept the offer?

Default Emigration agents in Northumberland

Assisted passages were advertised by emigration agents in The Morpeth Herald 24 December 1915 - right in the middle of WW1 - a perilous journey.
