Dunes take a battering
Hundreds of people down the harbour today taking photos of the storm surge and seas!
Turning south I noticed the banks and dunes were taking a battering. Youtube videos now start in low definition then snap to high definition once it has decided your broadband connection can take it. So you have to start it again to get the lot in HD. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BI46p3w9cAs |

Still rubbish quality compared to the raw video on my computer. Must be doing something wrong.

I think a walk at first light along to Hauxley is in order!

Find ow't ? I found a clay pipe. Cross hatched heart, familiar design from bottle digging days. I wonder if the 'T.W.' mark is Turnbull and Williamson? Contemporary with their codd bottle anyway. From digging days we used to find RAOB clay pipes and Irish harp design was also common in Amble. Clay pipes generally a very common find back then, never really kept many, wish I had. |
