Default Historic map comparison website

I have been given a link to this useful tool, using the mouse you can compare two historic maps side by side. Hopefully the link works!

Fascinating and very accurate, take Chevington Drift area for example.

That should keep you amused for a while!!
Take a look at how much land / beach has gone between Amble and Hauxley on the 1888 - 1913 os 6 inch, its accurate as the existing buildings are pinpointed accurately

In fact I've had a mooch around the locality and its fascinating looking at the field boundaries, disused railways etc

Have you looked at the rest of the site Coquet, the first world war trench maps in the same format?

I can't find 'em.
can you link to that section of the site as well?

I remember some outfit was selling the trench maps on a CD - hundreds of pounds it was.
