Question Amble and District Mining Memorial

I have just been looking at our sister-site.
While reading the names on Radcliffe Colliery Memorial I came across 'Mary Ann Trobe - 1859.'
Now this was almost a century before Womens Lib took over, which intrigues me as to how she gets to be included in a mining memorial.
Can anyone enlighten me please?

If you scroll down past the list of names you will see newspaper reports on the various deaths. Mary Ann Trobe was killed by a coal waggon going from Radcliffe Colliery to the Staith at Amble.
You'll be relieved to know that she was not a child labourer down the pit
Like the Durham Mining Memorial site we've included deaths caused by mining in its widest definition.

Smile Amble and District Mining Memorial.

Many thanks for that swift reply Janwhin. For a moment I had visions of "Pressed Women" for coalmines similar to middle ages sailors. I'm pleased that was not the case.
