Default Paintersand Plumbers

I have this photo in N and F Young archives of painters and plumbers and we don't know why! It is dated 1901 -2 taken by Mr Pringle of Amble at The Drift.
We think ! - Back row A Dunn, G Chapman, J Matthew M Hunter H Wilcox plumber
Front A Turnbull Geo Chrisp VG Campbell plumber.

Default Plumbing at the Drift...

I wonder what the plumber did? The tap was at the end of the row and the 'toilet' was at over the road and didn't require water!
