For anyone who is interested, there is an Amble Race card on the Northumberland Communities website from 1888
https://communities.northumberland.gov.uk/Amble_C16.htm You can also see the location of it on this map, also on the same site. It's exactly where Alan said https://communities.northumberland.gov.uk/006706FS.htm Last edited by Morph; 24-01-2018 at 12:26 PM. Reason: Added link |

Near Mark's Bridge
The race card is very interesting and stirs the imagination. I found it on the site mentioned a while back and tried to look where the races were held. I've also seen the map linked to, but I never noticed the races on it - I see it now; marked to the right of Mark's Bridge. That's great! I really appreciate the shared knowledge of this forum.
