Thanks Janwhin, my lot arrived as chief boatman to coastguards at Craster mid 1850s then Alnmouth 1858 and onto Amble a couple of years later where William was born.

Hello HollyDog
New on the register and running through your posts, so following on from James George Young post, I've spotted this one which is also of interest. By the information you've given, would you be referring to James Young?. If so he was my Great, Great, Grandfather. Prior to Craster [1856/60), he was stationed at Burnmouth [1852/56] after discharge from the Royal Navy. Can provide detail on his career in the navy if of interest. KevinT. |
