Metal Detecting
Metal Detecting
Been on here a while and have been quietly observing the excellent indepth knowledge and history. I am the Chairman of North East Metal Detecting - www.nemd.co.uk I was wondering if anyone on here has any land or knows of any land whereby farmers would allow Metal Detectorists onto their land. I have references for farmers who i use in Otterburn and also in Bardon Mill who are happy to vouch for me. I have full Public Liability Insurance up to £10,000,000 and I am a member of the National Council of Metal Detecting (www.ncmd.co.uk) All finds are declared to the farmer and any finds of value to be agreed by the farmer and detectorist on the share. We have a very strict code of conduct, and if any of this is broken we are struck of as members. If anyone knows, please reply or let me know. This is either an individual (myself) or as a club. If it is as a club, I can arrange a club dig, whereby limiting the numbers on the land at any given time. The members would also be very willing to pay £10 each for a days detecting. Thus could net the farmer £250 for a day. I have posted below some of my recent finds. Edward 1st - Penny - Dated 1282 FACING BUST WITH STAR ON BREAST. R. CIVI TAS LON DON, LONDON MINT.
