Picked up a booklet yesterday in the Alnwick TIC, called Old Amble and Warkworth by Guthrie Hutton, published 2014.
It's got plenty of photographs and old postcards from around Amble and Warkworth, some of which I haven't seen before. Also one, identical to mine in the photo gallery on our sister site, of the boy's football team of 1926/7
There's a good bit of text, I've yet to read. Acknowledgements to a George Nairn and Alnwick and Amble Libraries, plus websites too numerous to mention.
On another tack, my great great niece (phew) was given a book, along with her schoolmates, on Amble. It goes back to the beginnings and was written by her teacher. I asked in Amble post office about it, they'd heard of it but didn't have it.
