I've never come across that painting before, (i had to google Wilson Hepple)
I think he was born too late to paint the castle while it was standing, so perhaps he painted it from the engraving.
It's a shame the auction house never replied re permission to use the portrait, it would have been an excellent addition, clergy being an important part of family life,and interesting for anyone researching their family tree seeing a picture of the bloke who baptised/married/ buried their forebears.
Never mind, copyright is a funny thing, you do right to be wary.
