Was looking at this Edwardian (or earlier) card the other day. Looks lke a painting but I believe these are modified photos turned almost in to paintings by heavily adding colour and lines until there's nothing left of the original photo.

I was wondering what the group of figures were up to?
collecting sea coal?
Are coal fires a thing of the past?
Not for me, had ours on yesterday (although just recently re-opened after being out of use for decades!) and noted something, a flashback 30 years to when my grandmother was alive, something I'd never thought of in all that time.
