Not sure what is opencast already but Banks Mining are planning on being very close, over the other side (east) of the A1068

This Archaeology report by Durham University for Banks is very interesting. Includes a list of items of archaeological and historical interest, including shipwrecks to WW2 planes. Plus maps of the intended opencast site.
