I asked for info about a farm at Red Row where my grandfather worked in 1939/1940. I am pleased to say I took my father back to Woodside farm 80 yrs after he left as a wee boy. He had a great discussion with the present owner & met the daughter of a chamber maid who worked for Frederick Hemsly the farmer at the time his father worked there. The farm is no longer a working farm & some buildings have been knocked down, but the memories of being there as a boy came flooding back to him like it was yesterday.
