I attended southbroomhill secondary modern school 1965/69 In my class there was a David Common and Amanda Common both from the drift i think they were cousins .

South Broomhill drift was situated in the field between Druridge avenue and South Broomhill school .More or less opposite my grand parents house.

There was a drift mine entrance in the field between Druridge avenue and the school playing fields behind the ambulance station.The field belonged to Willy Jobson the farmer.
