The stone was called blue stone, probably a local name. I think Jimmy died before I went to Whittle from Hauxley in 1967. He was killed in a development area.

I was born at 16 Percy Street and lived in Amble until 1967 when I was married and got a house at the Drift.
My son Keith introduced me to this site which I find very interesting.
