Acklington Quarry

I am resident in Acklington village, and I am looking into the history of the quarry in Acklington.
are there any former RAF service men/women out there with any info of the disposal of RAF equipment and/or waste being disposed of into said quarry????

please let me know if anyone has any info regarding this topic :)
