Northumbrian Pipes at Whittle Colliery (circa '78/'83)

Can anyone remember hearing the Northumbrian Pipes at Whittle Colliery? I was recently reminded that one of the drift winder drivers played the pipes during the quiet times of his shifts? The winder (or hauler) driver was also responsible for driving the man riding set from the stockyard landing to the drift top then lowering the men down the drift.
