The chap on the right is wearing a hat similar to that worn by Catholic padres???

I think that is our DCM winner (2nd left) again. Also in Janwhin's post war football photo on the Amble site.

Brilliant photo, and that most definitely looks like Mr Martin. I wonder if the chap on the left is also in the later photos.

Football strip didn't change very much and some of the lads could even afford proper boots :)

I guess the lads must have been about 12?, so hopefully missed the war. Certainly in the later photos WW2 would find quite a few called up. My uncle George was certainly in it.
