Interesting that George Spears appeared in both the Red Row School team and the East Chevington Juniors 9 years later.

Would that George Spears (AKA 'Geordie Spears'?) be the same chap that was a Whittle Colliery Overman in the 70s/80s? .. anyone?

In the 1949 picture the goalkeeper is Ken Walton. Did he go on to play football professionally?
