1870,
November 10. — This evening, the town of Alnwick was visited
by a heavy storm of thunder and lightning, when twenty-seven sheep,
the property of Mr. John Potts, of Cockhill, near Morpeth, were
killed by the electric fluid in the midst of tlie storm, while grazing
on Alnwick Moor.

Ah, I've got the earlier volumes which end in 1832. Brilliant books.

Thanks for the reference to these latest volumes Leslie.

Time and patience?!? This is fascinating stuff and kept me wide awake long after my bed time last night. The visit of Prince Christian to Northumberland was clearly a big event, attracting the attention of the great and the good as well as the locals. Thanks for the link Leslie. Can't wait to read some more!
