Roman activity around felton?

Well ive read there was no activity around felton area although there was a rumour of a roman settlement near eshott, but not confirmed, well i found this last week and is confirmed as a Roman quadron trade weight,so i might just clear this rumour up in the following months.

Hodgsons History , Records signs of a large ditch and encampment. On an allotment next to home stead named CHESTER HILL, that is of roman origin name , possible marching camp ??

well there is a pre roman burial mound on the farm iam searching around Eshott, although i tend to stay cl;ear of that field as i think it will be a protected site

They talk about iron age and medieaval periods , but not romam broad period, yet i have unearthed more evidence from this era

well the rolled up curse tablet is defo roman tradition, i unrolled it to read the inscription last weekend, then found a dead starling in my garden sunday morning, and came down with flu monday and had 2 days off work,coincidence. also the pot mends are roman broad period too, just need to find the coins to confirm everything,hopefully later in the year when im off the pasture

quite common finds from that era, usually if somebody owed you money, or you held a grudge, you inscribed the curse onto a strip of lead, rolled it 3 times and threw it into a pond, shrine etc, i found this near the pre roman tumulus
