First time on the forum and read new intro from Ann Barnfather couldn't believe it ,Ann my Great Gran was a barnfather from the same area. Pleased to know there is still a lot of people proud to be from Pit stock:)

Well hello! I'll have a look at the dates I have and give you some more information. We might be related to the same person! Do you have any information about her? My family eventually moved further south to Bedlington.:)

Hi Ann the info I have is that my great grandmother was in the Choppington/Bedlington area about 1873 and definitely in that area in1892. She was married twice and during that time spent some of it in the U.S.A,would be interested in what you have about that time or earlier in Wales.Best wishes Little Drift Lass.
