I remember, one of the family was Rosie Morton!

Right George, Rosie was his daughter, lived in Dovecote Street when she was married and died several years ago at a relatively early age.

Does anyone know if there are any family members still in or around Amble.? Duncan was my great uncle and I have fond memories of visiting him and betty at Signal Cottage, although I was only a young lad when he passed away

My mam worked in Purview and Hedley when she left school her name Cynthia Trobe. I think it would have been in the late 1930s when she started there.

We used to live opposite a Trobe family in Melrose Gardens in the 1950s. I remember a Brenda as she was a similar age to me.
