That Amble Junction -photo has reminded me that Bartle Rippon has allowed us to reproduce a few of his own photos from his book, although a similar one to the one above appears in his book it's not one of his images. I don't want to copy more than two out of the book but here's the first one taken by Mr Rippon, Amble Station, Schooner Pub is the landmark still standing today in this one:
