Watching those Carlisle auctions this month I noticed this one:

Large & interesting archive relating to the case between James Sanderson, Mason & Builder of Amble, against Newcastle & Berwick Railway Contractors Hattersley & Nowell, for unpaid amounts due to the value of £2,039-9s-5d, on railway construction work building Buston Barns Bridge, Lane House Bridge, Buston Road & Cattle Bridges, Howick Bridge Lord Greys Bridge, Limekiln Bridge, Little Mill Bridge, Stamford Bridge & Coquet Viaduct & various culverts. The archive containing work books, costs & specifications for masons & stone supplied, legal correspondence, ledgers with details of work done as stated by the Contractors Richard Hattersley & John William Nowell, court & case papers, etc. Fascinating lot. Quantity in a box.
