Interesting one, a full family of Hoggs in Victoria Street 1881 with a 1 year old Thomas. Why would he be aka Young? Just done a double check on my family tree for out of wedlocks!!
Btw Victoria st has a census entry for gas works and the next sheet is the Wynd and west end
