Bailiffgate Museum are currently showing an exhibition on Memories of the Great War and looking at the effect of not only of the men and boys who went off to fight, but on those left behind in the Low and High Hauxley (and Howick) communties.
It is produced by the Alnwick WW1 Commeration Group and is on until 17th May. Well worth a visit. Please see more at
