Broomhill
Can anyone remember the small row of cottages at Broomhill, they were on the left hand side of the road as you entered from the north east (Amble). Any photos or history about them, I can just remember them but know nothing about them, thanks.

Some (now gone) buildings on the other side of the road on the 1925 map?

There's a thread about Togston Woodhouses which deals with the properties on the sharp bend at Togston.
I can recall on the Togston Road Ends (coming from Radcliffe) the railway bridge and a couple of terraced properties. I think one had a great crack down its gable end. Stretching the memory here  |
I think these houses had to do with the railway and locals called them the "cracked house on the bridge".
The only houses on the bend to North Broomhill were the former Woodhouses latterly known as "Little Togston" |
