Hi I've joined the forum as have been assisting my father who is tracing our family tree. He's originally from Rothbury and will probably have just registered like myself.

Whilst he is tracing family members, I occasionally track their background including maps, illustrations & photos etc. associated with them particularly my northern ancestors who were a mix of coal miners, shipwrights and master mariners of whom in your area [around Alnwick, Alnmouth, Blyth and Amble] the Gibb and Young's in particular appear to have been active during the 1800's.

I gather, there may be a few Young's on this forum!! Hello.
